In 2019, Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland will square off for the 78th time since 1930 and the 61th occasion as part of the annual Cortaca Jug Game, which began in 1959. Separated by less than 21 miles, Ithaca and Cortland annually draw thousands of fans, community members, students and alumni to their respective campus to watch the two teams carry on the tradition on the gridiron.

25420The 2019 Cortaca Jug Game will mark a once-in-a-life experience for IC and Cortland players, alumni and fans, as the game will be held at MetLife Stadium - the home of the New York Giants and Jets - in East Rutherford, N.J. As part of the 150th celebration of college football, Ithaca and Cortland accepted an invitation from the National Football Foundation to play this year's Cortaca Jug Game in a NFL stadium. In early October, the NFF announced that more than 39,000 tickets have been sold, which sets a new NCAA Division III record for attendance to a football game.

Ithaca owns the all-time series lead at 41-33-3, and in Jug Games, the Bombers have prevailed 36 times in 60 meetings.

Fans that cannot make the trip to The Meadowlands can follow along in numerous ways. Ithaca will be streaming the game via ICTV, as well as providing live stats and a radio feed from WICB. Fans can also follow along with live updates via the Ithaca Bombers Twitter account @BomberSports.

Prior to Saturday's game, a press conference will be held on Ithaca's campus from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13. The press conference will be streamed via Stretch Internet.
