2011: Newman played in six games as a reserve wide receiver and member of Ithaca’s special teams units. He returned a kickoff during the win over Frostburg State. Newman was named the team’s Hustler of the Week following Ithaca’s Empire 8 win over Hartwick and earned the award again after the Bombers’ game at Springfield. | 2011 game-by-game statistics
2010: Newman was a back-up wideout during his first varsity season. He was named the team’s Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week following the season-opening win over St. Lawrence.
2009: Newman spent his freshman season as a wide receiver with the junior varsity team. He was named Ithaca’s Special Teams Scout Team Player of the Week following the win at Utica.
High School: A 2009 graduate of Unatego High School, Newman was coached by Arthur Riggs. He earned all-league honors and was named Unatego’s offensive MVP.
Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Jeff and Kathy Newman.
