Career statistics
2011: Hendel played in eight games and started five times behind center. In his first two games, he threw for 131 yards and a touchdown and ran for 49 yards off the bench before making his first career start at Union. Hendel helped the Bombers win that game, completing 18 of 26 passes for 154 yards and picking up 42 yards on the ground. He ran for two touchdowns and threw for another. Hendel was named Ithaca’s Outstanding Back following the win. A week later he notched career-high totals of 217 yards and two TD passes in the victory at Hartwick. Hendel threw for 212 yards against St. John Fisher. |

High School: A 2009 graduate of Deerfield High School, Hendel was coached by Steve Winiecki. A team captain, he earned all-conference honors.
