Biography

2011-12: Marcus started 25 of the Bombers’ 28 games as a senior and played in 27. He ranked second on the squad with 70 three-point field goals and ranked third with 12.1 points per game. Marcus concluded his career with 301 total three-pointers, an Ithaca school record. Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Juniata Doc Greene Tournament and the Empire 8 Championship Tournament, he had 18 double-digit point games. Marcus tallied 20 or more points on four occasions, including a season-best 28-point performance at Juniata. He scored 327 points during the season to increase his career total to 1,530 ranking him fourth all-time at Ithaca in scoring. 2010-11: A second-team All-Empire 8 selection, Marcus was a two-time conference player of the week as a junior. He served as the Bombers’ second-highest scorer averaging 16.1 points per game and reached the 1,000-point threshold finishing the season with 1,203. Marcus drained 90 three pointers in his 26 games played to top the Ithaca season three-pointers made list and move into second-place all-time with 231 career threes. He scored 419 points, grabbed 99 rebounds and added 46 assists, 19 steals and five blocks in 2010-11, while posting 21 double-digit performances, nine 20-plus games and one 30-plus contest. 2009-10: Playing in all 28 games and starting all but one, Marcus led the Bombers in scoring with 509 points on the season to average 18.2 points per game. In 31.7 minutes of action per contest, Marcus scored in double figures on 22 occasions, while surpassing 20 points 12 times. Marcus recorded a career-high 45 points in the Bombers’ first game of the season at Hobart and fell just one point shy of that, tallying 44 at Case Western Reserve on Dec. 30. Marcus twice pulled down a career-high eight boards and tallied an average of 4.0 per game. He also added 34 steals, 30 assists and four blocks to his sophomore-year statistics. While shooting .403 from the floor and .348 from beyond the arc, he led Ithaca in scoring 10 times and once led the Bombers in rebounding. 2008-09: Marcus appeared in every game for the Bombers as a freshman, making one start. He averaged 10.2 points in 17.2 minutes per game. He reached double figures in points 13 times, including four times in five games from Jan. 9 to Jan. 30. His season-high in points scored was 25, set twice against Nazareth. He hit seven three-pointers in a win at the Golden Flyers. With 63 three-point field goals made, he ranked second on the Bombers and sixth in the Empire 8. His .375 three-point shooting led the team. Overall, he shot .373 percent from the floor and .792 percent from the free-throw line. Marcus also averaged 1.6 rebounds per game, including twice grabbing a season-best five. He also registered 25 steals, 15 assists and four blocks. He had five steals in just 16 minutes in the season-opening win over Cortland. Career Statistics

High School: A 2008 graduate of Solomon Schechter High School, Jordan was coached by Sandy Pyonin. He earned four varsity letters, and earned first-team all-prep honors as both a junior and a senior.

Personal: A sports studies major, he is the son of Sharon and Stanley Marcus.
