He recorded a season-best three tackles in the season-opening win at St. Lawrence and added a pass break-up. Abdelnour collected two tackles in the win over #25 Alfred and added a pair of tackles in the victories at Utica and Alfred.<br /> <br /> <a href="http://bombers.ithaca.edu/custompages/football/2009/plyr_48.htm">2009 game-by-game statistics</a><br /> <br /> <b>2008: </b>Abdelnour played in every game and started the last three. He made a personal-best seven tackles at Alfred in his first career start then topped that total with nine-tackle efforts the following two weeks. Abdelnour collected three solo tackles and two tackles for loss among his nine stops against Curry in the NCAA playoffs. He forced a fumble that set up a Bomber touchdown in the win over Hartwick. Abdelnour made six tackles at St. John Fisher. <br /> <br /> 2008 game-by-game statistics<br /> <br /> <b>2007: </b>Abdelnour spent his freshman season as a linebacker with the junior varsity team. He was named the team’s Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week following the Cortaca Jug win. <br /> <br /> <b>High School: </b>A 2007 graduate of Somers High School, Abdelnour was coached by Tony Demattio. A team captain and three-year letter winner at tight end and defensive end, he also earned scholastic all-America honors in track & field.<br /> <br /> <b>Personal:</b> A business administration major with a finance and accounting concentration, he is the son of Doug and Maureen Abdelnour.<br /> <br />
