2009 game-by-game statistics

2008: Herring played in nine games, appearing on special teams and as a reserve defensive back. He made a season-best four tackles in the win over Hartwick, adding a pass break-up and his first career sack. In the victory at Norwich, Herring recorded a pair of solo tackles, including one for a 23-yard loss on a botched punt. He was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the fall semester.

2008 game-by-game statistics

2007: In his first season with the Bombers, Herring lettered as a back-up in the Ithaca secondary and a special teams standout. He made a career-best six tackles in the win at Utica. Herring’s eight tackles in kick coverage ranked fourth on the team; in the season-opening win at Lycoming he forced a fumble on a Warrior kickoff return to set up a Bomber touchdown. He was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the fall semester.

Career statistics

2005-06: Herring attended Le Moyne College.  

High School: A 2005 graduate of Unatego High School, Herring was coached by Steven Leahy and John Mushtare. He helped Unatego to a Section IV title as a junior and earned Section IV all-star honors while serving as team captain as a senior.  

Personal: An exercise science major, he is the son of Tom Herring and Sue Herring.
