2009: Hennessy was a Second Team All-Empire 8 selection as a face-off specialist. He was 91-for-153 at the faceoff X, a 59.5 percent success rate. He also had 25 ground balls on the year. Hennessy won a career-best 23 faceoffs in Ithaca's overtime win against Hartwick.
2009 Game-by-Game Stats
2008: Hennessy was the only Bomber freshman to ply in every game and his 32 ground balls led the team’s newcomers. He took over 73 percent of Ithaca’s face-offs and posted a winning percentage of 58.0. He went 22 for 27 in the win over Drew and dominated the nation’s top-ranked faceoff specialist in the opening round of the Empire 8 playoffs, winning 19 of 26 at the X. Hennessy picked up a season-best six ground balls and scored his first career goal in the win over Utica. He was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the fall semester.
Career Stats
High School: Hennessy earned four varsity letters playing for coach Jeff Neese at Owen J. Roberts High School. In his senior season, Hennessy earned league MVP and team MVP honors while also being selected for the Eastern State all-star team. He was a two-time all-league and all-area selection. Hennessy also earned three varsity letters as a member of the soccer team at Owen J. Roberts, earning team MVP honors and first-team all-area honors his senior season.
Personal: A finance and accounting major, he is the son of Thomas and Kim Hennessy.
