Biography

Career statistics

2009: Vossler started every game and earned second-team all-conference recognition. He led Ithaca with 51 catches – the program’s sixth-highest single-season total – and eight touchdown receptions. Vossler, who also led Ithaca with 14.4 yards per catch, was named the team’s Outstanding Back at the postseason banquet. He opened the season by gaining a career-best 100 yards on five catches in the win at St. Lawrence. A week later he caught a pair of touchdown catches at Union. Vossler posted career-high totals of nine catches, 108 yards and two scores in the win at Hartwick. His six catches (for 88 yards) in the win over #25 Alfred included a pair of touchdown receptions. He also caught touchdowns at Frostburg State and Springfield. Vossler was named Ithaca’s Honorary Offensive Captain after the Union, Utica and Alfred games and was picked as the team’s Outstanding Back after the win at Utica. He recovered a fumble after a Cortland interception in the Cortaca Jug win.

2008: Vossler led Ithaca’s wide receivers with 41 catches and started every regular-season game. In the season-opening win over Lycoming he made four catches in his varsity debut. Vossler was named Ithaca’s Honorary Offensive Captain after making a career-best seven catches – including his first touchdown – and 79 yards in the win at Norwich. He gained a season-high 84 yards in the win over Utica. Vossler was named Ithaca’s Outstanding Back following the St. John Fisher game after catching six passes for 60 yards.

2008 game-by-game statistics

2007: Vossler won Ithaca’s Marty Higgins award as the top player on the junior varsity team. He was named the Bombers’ Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week following the King’s win and the Cortaca Jug victory.

High School: A 2007 graduate of Saranac Lake High School, Vossler was coached by Mark Farmer. He was a league all-star and also played basketball.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of David and Carol Vossler.
