2009 game-by-game statistics

2008: Drescher made his second straight appearance on the Empire 8 all-star team after collecting a career-best four sacks. His two fumble recoveries led the team. Drescher notched a season-best seven tackles (including two for loss) in the win at King’s. He was named the team’s Outstanding Lineman following the season-opening win over Lycoming and was picked as Ithaca’s Honorary Defensive Captain following the St. John Fisher and Utica wins. Drescher made a pair of tackles for loss (including a sack) among his five stops at St. John Fisher.

2008 game-by-game statistics

2007: Drescher earned second-team all-conference honors after leading Ithaca’s defensive linemen with 59 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and two sacks. He opened the season by collecting career-high totals of nine tackles and four tackles for loss in the win at Lycoming and was named the team’s Outstanding Lineman. Drescher, who also forced a fumble and collected a sack, was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week and earned a spot on D3football.com’s Team of the Week. He blocked an extra-point attempt in that game, starting a streak of five straight games with a blocked kick. He blocked one field goal and a school single-season record four extra-point attempts. He matched his career-high with nine tackles in the wins over Brockport and Springfield. Drescher made three tackles for loss at Springfield.

2006: Drescher played in eight games and started the first three games of the season. He made a season-high five tackles at St. John Fisher. Drescher recorded tackles for loss in wins over Hartwick and Norwich. He was one of eight Bomber freshmen to earn a varsity letter.

Career statistics

High School: A 2006 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, Drescher was coached by Joe Casamento. Drescher earned second-team all-league and third-team all-central New York recognition. 

Personal: An applied economics major, he is the son of John and Janet Drescher. His father is a 1979 Ithaca graduate.
