2007: Raux made his third straight appearance on the Empire 8 all-star team and was an all-tournament pick at the NCAA regionals for the third straight year. He led the team in home runs,. triples, RBIs, walks and slugging percentage and moved into Ithaca’s top 20 in RBI’s (fifth), average (seventh), hits (14th) and runs (15th). Raux was named Empire 8 Player of the Week after an eight-for-14 performance in four games including a sweep at #20 Brockport. Among his three three-hit games was a three-for-six in the NCAA playoff win over St. John Fisher. Raux homered three times in his last eight games.
2006: Raux earned all-conference and all-region accolades for the second year in a row, landing on the Empire 8 first team and the New York region second team. He batted .400 and led the Bombers with 56 hits, 45 RBI’s, 44 runs and five triples. He was second on the team in slugging percentage (.593), on-base percentage (.485), stolen bases (10) and doubles (11). Raux was named to the all-region team at the NCAA regionals after batting .353 with a pair of doubles. He earned his fourth career Empire 8 Player of the Week after going 12-for-21 with seven runs, eight RBI’s and a .714 slugging percentage in six games. Raux recorded nine three-hit games and a four-hit performance (with three RBI’s) in a win over St. John Fisher. He homered and drove in six runs in a win over #4 Cortland and posted a three-hit, four-RBI game at Occidental. Raux singled, doubled, tripled and drove in four runs in a win at Hartwick.
2005: Raux had one of the best debut seasons ever by a Bomber, becoming Ithaca’s first freshman all-American. He was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and was the first freshman named the New York Region Player of the Year. Raux’s team-best 52 RBIs set a Bomber freshman record and were the program’s fifth-highest single-season total. He ranked second on the team in hits (with Ithaca’s 10th-best single-season mark), slugging percentage, stolen bases and home runs, and his team-best 17 doubles were one short of the school record. A three-time Empire 8 Player of the Week, he recorded 20 multi-hit games, including four-hit outings against Hartwick and Montclair State. He drove in five runs in a win at St. Lawrence and scored a season-best four runs against Hartwick.
High School: A 2004 graduate of Ilion High School, Raux was coached by Dave Appleton. He was an all-state, all-region and all-league pick.
Personal: A health and physical education major, he is the son of Bob Raux and Tara Raux and Leigh and Felipe Olivero.
