Biography

2007: Ash was sidelined for nearly the entire season, playing in only two games after the first week of the season. He went three-for-four with a double, two runs and two RBI’s against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
 
2006: Ash was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and earned second-team all-conference honors as a designated hitter. He hit a team-high four home runs and led Ithaca’s regulars in batting average (.405) and slugging percentage (.655). Ash hit his first career home run at third-ranked Cortland. He hit two more at Oswego, finishing that win with season-best totals of four hits and three RBI’s. Ash enjoyed a 13-game hitting streak to close out the regular season, hitting .523 with four home runs and five doubles. He hit .478 against Empire 8 opponents and did not make an error in his 19 appearances behind the plate.
 
High School: A 2005 graduate of Morris Knolls High School, Ash was coached by Adam Bonfilio. He was an all-conference, all-county and all-area selection and served as team captain for two years.
 
Personal: A math major, he is the son of Bruce and Paula Ash.
