Biography

2005: Gordon played in every game and started the last three at flanker after injuries sidelined Ithaca’s starter and back-up. In his first career start he caught five passes for 89 yards as Ithaca beat Alfred to clinch the Empire 8 title. A week later he posted career-best totals of eight catches, 120 yards and two touchdowns against Cortland. Gordon caught six passes for 92 yards against Union in the NCAA playoffs and scored on an 80-yard kickoff return. He ranked third and fourth in the Empire 8 in punt and kickoff return average, respectively and received honorable mention to the all-conference team as a return specialist. Gordon ranked 23rd nationally in kickoff returns. He was named the team’s Outstanding Back after the Springfield and Cortland games. Gordon caught two passes – including a career-long 64-yard reception for his first career touchdown – in the win at Hartwick. He ranked 23rdh nationally and third in the Empire 8 with a punt return average of 10.7. He ran a punt back 63 yards for a touchdown against Norwich. He ranked sixth in the Empire 8 in all-purpose yardage.
 
2004: Gordon played in every game during the regular season as a reserve wide receiver and special teams regular. He was one of the team’s top kick returners, ranking ninth nationally with a kickoff return average of 29.1 yards per return. He averaged 35.0 yards per return in the ‘Cortaca Jug’ win, including a career-best 71-yard return (the longest by a Bomber in 24 games) that set up an Ithaca touchdown. Gordon also averaged 5.8 yards per punt return and his 13 punt returns were second on the team. His career-best 49-yard return set up an Ithaca touchdown at St. John Fisher. He was named Ithaca’s Outstanding Back after the Springfield and Cortland games.
 
2003: Gordon spent his freshman season as a wide receiver with Ithaca’s junior varsity team.

High School: A 2003 graduate of Ausable Valley High School, Gordon was coached by Ned Hoey. He was an all-state selection as a junior and senior.

Personal: A physical education major, he is the son of Jon and Ellen Gordon.
