Biography

2004: Dowling was a second-team Empire 8 all-star and was also named the league’s Pitcher of the Week for April 19. He saved five games, good for fourth on Ithaca’s single-season list. His first three saves came in consecutive games; Dowling recorded two saves in a doubleheader sweep of Hartwick and one against Division II Mansfield. Opponents batted .224 against Dowling, the best mark on the team. Between March 10 and April 25 he pitched 12.2 consecutive innings without giving up an earned run. 2002-03: Dowling pitched for the junior varsity team.

High School: At Whitesboro High School, Dowling was coached by Bill Decoursey.

Personal: A history major, he is the son of Kevin Dowling and Deborah Dowling.
