Biography

2005: Litz started 32 of the  first 34 games before suffering a season-ending injury. He ranked third on the team with 11 stolen bases. His .476 batting average against Empire 8 opponents ranked second on the Bombers. Litz drove in three runs in a win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. He collected three hits and scored three runs in a win over St. John Fisher. Litz had three hits in a win against Clarkson and hit a pair of doubles in a win over Utica. He batted .450 (18-40) in his last 12 games.

2004: Litz received honorable mention to the Empire 8 all-star team. He was one of two players to start in all 43 games. He was the team leader in steals (17) and triples (3). On defense he set a single-season school record with 154 assists. He was also third on the team in runs scored (34) and fourth in hits (48). In Ithaca’s two playoff wins Litz was 4-for-10 with seven RBIs.

2003: Litz played second base and third base, starting nine times. He collected two hits in a victory at Brockport and also recorded a two-hit game in the win at Rochester. His first career RBI came in the Rochester game. Litz doubled and scored a run in a win over St. Lawrence.

High School: A 2002 graduate of Walkill High School, Litz was coached by Bill Earl.

Personal: A health sciences major, he is the son of Robert and Susan Litz.
