Women’s Tennis Fall to visiting Binghamton University on Saturday

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team hosted Binghamton University on Saturday inside Glazer Arena in the Athletics and Events Center. The Bearcats claimed the doubles point and went on to defeat Ithaca 4-1.
 
Binghamton earned the doubles point seeing a 6-0 win from Adelie Wilson and Samantha Jaros over Martina Nicora and Ekaterina Kelly at No. 3. They would also win at No. 2 as the Bearcats defeated Madeleine Sutro and Ava Casell-Lapetina by a 6-2 score.
 
Loren Cuomo took victory in her singles match in the top slot, winning 6-4, 4-1 (Ithaca injury). Ava Casell-Lapetina was up 2-1 over Samantha Jones who would withdraw via injury as the Bombers earned the point. Binghamton would go on to win No. 2 and No. 3 singles to clinch the match.
 
The Bombers fall to 3-4 overall and will return to action on Wednesday, March 25 at William Smith. The Liberty League matchup is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
