RESULTS
UTICA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team finished out its regular season on Sunday as the Bombers traveled to Utica University for a quad meet and placed second overall with a score of 188.025. Rhode Island College was first with 189.375, while Utica took third with 186.550 and Springfield was fourth at 183.475.
The Bombers started on floor which was their best event by far with 48.475.
Grace Murray led the way with 9.850, while
Jillian Freyman was close behind with 9.825.
Taylor Arias scored 9.625 and
Sh'Nai Thompson received 9.600.
Corey Foster rounded out the top five with 9.575 and
Lucy Kaupp started the rotation off with 9.325.
IC then moved to vault and earned a score of 47.325 as Murray was once again the top performer for the Bombers with 9.700.
Mya John was awarded 9.650 and
Lauren Babineaux scored 9.575.
Natalie Steed landed with a 9.275, followed by a 9.125 from
Camden Contakos and 9.100 from
Madelynn Farragher.
Uneven bars was a struggle for the Bombers with 45.675 with the high score of 9.400 from John.
Sienna Blake and
Kaitlyn Micale matched scores of 9.225 and
Lucy Kaupp received 9.050.
Ithaca finished up on beam and posted a 46.550, led by
Leanne Desjardins with a 9.725.
Emily Kobusky turned in 9.550 and Blake was awarded 9.425. Contakos scored 9.150 on her first official routine of the season.
Ithaca travels to Rhode Island next weekend for the NCGA East Region Championships.
