RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca College gymnastics team competed against Brockport and Cortland as part of the Harriett Marranca Invitational on Sunday inside Ben Light Gymnasium. Following the meet, Ithaca honored its five seniors.
Brockport won the tri-meet with a score of 192.175, while Cortland was the runner-up at 190.975. Ithaca finished the meet with 187.475.
The Bombers got off to a strong start with 47.950 on vault as all six gymnasts scored over 9.425.
Grace Murray was the top performer in the event at 9.750, while
Natalie Steed scored 9.650.
Lauren Babineaux received 9.600 and
Sh'Nai Thompson was awarded 9.525, while
Madelynn Farragher and
Mya John both earned 9.425.
It was a tough go for IC on the next two rotations with 45.475 on bars and 45.875 on beam.
Sienna Blake was IC's top scorer on bars at 9.400, while
Lucy Kaupp and
Olivia Lane also earned marks over 9.000 with 9.300 and 9.250.
On beam,
Leanne Desjardins turned in a performance of 9.575, while
Emili Horike received 9.475 and John was shown 9.450.
The Bombers turned things around to close out the meet on floor with 48.175. Murray was first overall with 9.825 and
Jillian Freyman earned 9.750.
Taylor Arias was next for the Bombers at 9.725 and Kaupp started things off with 9.575. Farragher received 9.300.
IC's final home meet of the season takes place on February 11 against Cortland at 6:30 p.m.
