Men’s Tennis Put Together a 4-3 Road Win at the University of Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team picked up a tight 4-3 win inside the Georgen Athletic Center at the University of Rochester on Saturday. The Bombers captured the doubles point sweeping all three matches and the dual was decided at No. 5 singles when Carlos Hernandez produced a win.
 
Hernandez clinched IC the win with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Joseph Xia. The Bombers No. 14 nationally ranked Ivan Kisic dropped a competitive matchup to Andy Liu who prevailed by set scores of 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) at No. 1 singles.
 
The Bombers returned the favor in singles play when Luis Crespo defeated Aiden Swartz in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5. Ithaca also saw Siddharth Vaada edge Tony Xu at No. 3 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
 
Siddharth Desai and Gijs Fidler got things started for Ithaca with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles over Ethan Samora and Tony Xu, while Luis Crespo and Ean Lantzy clinched the point with a 6-4 win over Josh Chu and Rahul Ravi at No. 2 doubles. Ivan Kisic and Sam Lopez-Cardenas teamed to win No. 3 by a 7-6 (7-3) score.
 
With the win, the Bombers improved to 3-1 overall while Rochester fell to 2-3. Ithaca is back in action on Friday, March 6 when they face off against Bloomsburg University at 12 p.m.
