Quinn Smith. Damiani struck first, finishing a takedown in the closing seconds of the opening period. He added another score in the second to take a 6–2 lead into the final frame. Smith battled back with a reversal to tie the bout at 6–6, but Damiani iced it with a late move at the 12‑second mark to secure an 8–6 decision.
At 133 lbs.,
Jay McDonnell squared off against Connor Kerwin. Kerwin notched the first three points with a late flurry in the first period, and McDonnell responded with an early escape in the second. Kerwin extended his lead with a pair of takedowns to go up 9–3, but McDonnell kept pressing. The sophomore turned the tide with a late reversal and brought the Ben Light Gymnasium to life by pinning Kerwin at exactly 7:00.
The 141‑lb. bout featured first year
Ben White against Ashton Romberger. Neither wrestler managed a score in the opening period. White earned the first point with a second period escape, and Romberger matched it with an escape of his own in the third. Late in the match, Romberger caught White's leg for a decisive takedown, taking a 4–2 decision.
At 149 lbs.,
Will Bentrim met Ryan Santiago of the Colonels. Bentrim opened strong with an early takedown but was reversed shortly after and battled through an apparent first period injury. Tied 3–3 midway through the second, Santiago added three points and later converted another takedown in the third to pull away for a 10–5 decision.
The 157 lb. match saw
Akio Sanders return to the lineup for the first time since SUNYACs, taking on Jaryn Hartranft. Hartranft controlled the bout to earn a 12–4 major decision, giving Wilkes a 10–9 team lead.
At 165 lbs.,
Chris Reddy helped swing momentum back to Ithaca. Reddy scored a takedown roughly 30 seconds into the match and continued to dictate the action, finishing with an 8–4 decision and putting the Bombers back in front.
The Bombers added bonus points at 174 lbs., where
Konrad Parker took on Hunter Troutman. Parker attacked from all angles, piling up points—including a highlight leg sweep—to roll to a dominant 19–3 tech fall.
At 184 lbs.,
Xavier Pommells faced Lucas Miller and set the tone with a strong opening takedown. Much like Parker, Pommells consistently controlled the action and outpaced his opponent, earning a 16–3 major decision to extend the Bombers' lead.
The 197‑lb. bout featured
Ryan Galka against Elliot Black. Galka racked up three takedowns across the first two periods and built a 10–2 advantage before closing out a 17–8 major decision. His win pushed the team score to 25–10 heading into the heavyweight finale.
The dual concluded at 285 lbs. with
Kamdyn Dorchester facing Luke Abilio. Abilio scored late in the first to take a 3–0 lead, but Dorchester rallied with an escape and a key takedown to move ahead 10–3. He capped off his performance with additional points in the closing seconds to seal a 12–4 major decision and close out a 29–10 team victory for the Bombers.
The Bombers winners of seven in a row improved to 12-6 overall in duals and will close out the regular season slate with an away dual at St. John Fisher on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
