BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Despite battling several injuries across the lineup, the Ithaca College men's wrestling team delivered a gritty performance at the SUNYAC Championships, earning a third-place team finish highlighted by two individual titles. The Bombers also secured multiple podium placements at the event, hosted by SUNY Brockport inside the Special Events Recreation Center.
 
The top two finishers in each weight class earned All-SUNYAC honors. Konrad Parker and Xavier Pommells claimed titles in their respective weight classes, while Will Bentrim (149 lbs.) and Charlie Turner (285 lbs.) each earned runner-up finishes.
 
Parker led the squad with 23.5 team points, recording two pins along with a dominant 20-4 technical fall over Brockport's Elijah Bonet. He capped his run with a 7-0 shutout decision against Gavin McLaughlin in the championship bout.
 
Pommells was equally impressive, going 4–0 on the day with three straight pins to open his tournament. He secured his first-place finish with a commanding 17-5 major decision over Avery Bustamante.
 
At 149 pounds, Will Bentrim battled through a deep bracket to finish 4–1 on the day. He opened the tournament with back‑to‑back technical falls and later added a decisive 5–0 win over Brockport's Mason Mangialino. Bentrim ultimately fell to Cortland's Angelo Centrone in the final, securing a runner‑up finish. Charlie Turner earned his spot in the championship bout with a hard‑fought 2–1 tiebreaker victory over teammate Kamdyn Dorchester. Turner's run concluded in the finals, where he was pinned by RIT's Josh Harkless.
 
Five other Bombers would score top-4 finishes. First year George McAteer finished third at 133, sophomore Chris Reddy was also third at 165, along with Kamdyn Dorchester at 285, while Max Casiano (174) and Eamon Callaghan each placed fourth.
 
Next up, Ithaca will host its first home dual of the season on Friday, January 30 at 7 p.m. when they welcome TCNJ to the South Hill.
