RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team hosted its first meet of the 2026 season as Ursinus College visited Ben Light Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon. Ithaca prevailed in the dual, 189.950 to 188.475.
The Bombers got off to a solid start on vault with 47.425 to lead by nearly two points, but Ursinus was equally impressive in the second rotation with 47.650 to take a slim edge. The Bears continued to lead after three rotations at 141.375 to 141.250, but Ithaca nearly turned in a school record performance on floor with 48.700 to claim the dual by over a point as Ursinus scored 47.100 on beam.
Grace Murray led IC on vault with 9.700 and
Lauren Babineaux was next with 9.525. The other four gymnasts scored between 9.475 and 9.3000 –
Natalie Steed (9.475),
Mya John (9.400),
Madelynn Farragher (9.325) and
Sh'Nai Thompson (9.300).
John scored 9.600 on bars to pace the rotation, while
Sienna Blake earned 9.275. Thompson and
Lucy Kaupp received 9.100 and 9.075.
John once again was the top score in IC's third rotation on beam with 9.700.
Corey Foster received 9.650, while
Jillian Freyman earned 9.625 and
Leanne Desjardins shined with 9.600.
Emili Horike turned in a performance of 9.550 and
Emily Kobusky scored 9.200.
All six gymnasts scored over 9.625 to conclude the meet as Murray surpassed her mark from a week ago with 9.850.
Taylor Arias turned in the best performance of her career with a 9.775, while Thompson was close behind with 9.750. Freyman finished her routine with 9.700, while Farragher and Kaupp each scored 9.625.
The Bombers travel to Rhode Island College next weekend.
