RESULTS
BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team opened its 2026 season at Brockport on Saturday afternoon and posted a score of 187.6, compared to 191.2 for the Golden Eagles.
Grace Murray was the highlight of the meet for the Bombers as she posted a pair of 9.800 scores on vault and floor, which were both good for first in the meet. Murray tied the school record on vault, which was set back in 2018 by Carolyn Nichols.
Leanne Desjardins recorded the next highest score for the Bombers on the day as she received 9.750 on beam, while
Lauren Babineaux earned 9.700 on bars.
Mya John produced a successful day as well with 9.675 on bars and 9.525 on vault.
Natalie Steed turned in a score of 9.600 on vault and
Jillian Freyman was awarded 9.575 on floor, while also scoring 9.350 on beam.
Taylor Arias (9.450 – floor),
Sh'Nai Thompson (9.425 – vault),
Sienna Blake (9.400 – bars) and
Lucy Kaupp (9.400 – floor) all turned in solid showings in the first meet of the year.
Vault was the best rotation for the Bombers on Saturday with 47.500, while the team scored 47.375 on floor. IC also earned 46.675 on bars and 46.050 on beam.
The Bombers are home next Sunday, January 18 against Ursinus.
