GENEVA, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 19 Ithaca College women's lacrosse team dropped a Liberty League contest at No. 11 William Smith College, 17-5, on Wednesday at Boswell Field. Ithaca is now 7-4 on the season and 4-2 in the Liberty League.

The nationally ranked league foes play a tight first quarter as it was tied 3-3 after 15 minutes of action, but it was all Herons from there as they outscored the Bombers, 6-0, in the second quarter and 8-2 in the second half.

In the first quarter, William Smith jumped out to a 2-0 lead but Kelly Augeri got IC on the board with 8:36 remaining. After another Herons goal, Augeri struck again at the 2:39 mark and Kathryn Scallon followed with the equalizer in the final seconds.

IC was held to just three shots and one on goal in the second quarter, while William Smith fired off 12 shots with six finding the back of the net.
