ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team hosted St. Lawrence University on Sunday morning inside Glazer Arena. The Saints scored a 5-2 win over Ithaca who drops to 4-9 overall and 0-5 within Liberty League play.
The Saints scored the doubles point by taking two of the three matchups. The lone IC win was scored in the top flight where
Taylor Crain and
Sabrina Cheung teamed up for a 6-1 victory over Molly Jespersen and Eleanor McDermed.
In singles,
Alys Pop suffered a tough three set match to Yvette Katera (6-7, 6-4, 7-6) and
Taylor Crain was defeated, 7-6, 6-1. The Bombers first win would come at No. 5 singles where
Madeleine Sutro took down Ellie Fritz, 6-2, 7-5.
Lauren Rodriguez scored the other team point in her 6-0, 6-3 win over Elanor McDermed of the Saints.
Next up, Ithaca College will travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. where they will have a match at Vassar College slated for 10 a.m.
