EWING, N.J. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team traveled to TCNJ for a Saturday non-conference matchup that saw the Lions win via a 5-2 team score. Ithaca now falls to 3-5 overall.
TCNJ won two of the three doubles matches to score the team point. The lone Bombers win was scored by the duo of
Ivan Kisic and
Siddharth Vaada by a set score of 7-5. In the top spot,
Gijs Fidler and
Siddharth Desai came up short, 6-7 (3-7).
The Lions took the 3-0 team lead taking the matches on the No. 1 and No. 2 singles court.
Ivan Kisic was able to get the Bombers on the board as he triumphed over Brett Schuster by scores of 7-6 (7-4) and 6-2. The other IC win was captured by
Emiliano Pedrero as he improved to 3-1 this spring, this time he defeated Nathan Chan (7-5, 6-2).
The Bombers will remain on the road and will have a quick turnaround in a match at New York University that will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
