TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis dropped a 7-0 result at RPI on Saturday evening. The loss drops the Bombers to 2-4 overall and 0-1 within conference action while the Engineers improved to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in Liberty League play.
The Engineers claimed the doubles point by winning all three matchups. In the top slot,
Siddharth Desai and
Gijs Fidler dropped a 6-3 result. Ithaca was unable to pick up a set during singles action as RPI went 12-of-12 in sets.
Aiden Drover-Mattinen topped
Gijs Fidler (6-4, 6-2) and
Siddharth Vaada fell to Andy Zhu by set scores of 5-7, 1-6.
Luis Crespo was competitive in the first set but eventually fell to Tsbubi Okada, 4-6 and 1-6.
Ithaca College will return to action on Wednesday with a road matchup against RIT. It's slated to begin at 3 p.m.
