ORLANDO, Fla. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team competed in its final match of its spring break trip on Friday as they took on Connecticut College. The Bombers dropped a 6-1 result to the Camels and fell to 3-4 overall.
The Bombers were swept in doubles play as the closest matchup was at No. 2 doubles where
Alys Pop and
Ava Casell-Lapetina fell short to MaryElla Prendergast and Caitlin Cass (4-6).
Taylor Crain captured the lone point for Ithaca as she won 6-0, 6-1 over Caitlin Cass in the top singles spot. At No. 2 singles,
Alys Pop took Maya Kowalska to the decisive third set as she won the first 7-6, fell in the second 4-6 and dropped the tie breaker (5-10).
Ithaca College will move into Liberty League action in its next match, which is slated for Saturday, March 22 at RPI. Match time is slated for 6:30 p.m.
