No. 16 Bombers Sweep St. Lawrence on Senior Day, Extend Win Streak to 13

ITHACA, N.Y. – The No.16-ranked Ithaca College Bombers continued their hot streak with a commanding three-set sweep over St. Lawrence, capping off a memorable Senior Day celebration on Saturday afternoon inside Ben Light Gymnasium.

Coming off back-to-back wins against Cortland and Stevens, the Bombers carried that momentum into the match, showing dominance from the first kill to the final point. Prior to the opening serve, seniors Bridget Altland, Karina Garcia, and Ella Graper were honored in a heartfelt ceremony recognizing their leadership and contributions throughout their Bomber careers. The team responded with a performance worthy of the occasion, controlling the pace and never letting the Saints find their footing.

Though St. Lawrence struck first in the opening set, the Bombers quickly took control, cruising to a dominant 25–9 win. Wesley Slavin led the offense with nine assists, while Naomi Clauhs tallied five kills to spark the Bomber attack.

Clauhs continued her strong performance in the second set, adding another five kills, and was joined by first year Addison Leadbetter, who recorded eight kills of her own. Ithaca rolled to a 25–11 win to go up 2–0 in the match.

The third set proved more competitive, with the Saints battling back. But Ithaca stayed composed and closed out the sweep with a 25–19 win. Amaya Parnell notched nine assists, and Jayden Wiese came off the bench to add five kills. On defense, Ellie Benedict anchored the back line with a match-high 17 digs.

For the Saints, Vanessa Latam paced the offense with 17 assists, while Adeline Riesenberger and Araiza Acum-Santos each contributed 6 kills in the loss.

With the victory, the Bombers extend their win streak to 13 matches and remain undefeated in Liberty League play at 6–0. They'll look to keep the streak alive next Saturday when they host (RV) William Smith in another crucial conference matchup slated for 11:30 a.m. IC will then take on William Paterson University.
