Ithaca Men’s Soccer Post a Dominant 6-0 Win over Fredonia

FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team dominated Fredonia in a non-conference road match on Saturday, securing a 6-0 victory. This win improves Ithaca's record to 4-0-1, while Fredonia falls to 4-3-1.

Fredonia nearly scored in the 14th minute with a counterattack, but Kyto Magee's shot went wide. Ithaca then took control with a long through ball from Joshua Bordoulous to Andrew Kusek, who scored with an assist from Landon Hellwig, putting the Bombers up 1-0.

In the 34th minute, Ithaca extended their lead with a goal from Jack Carney, who headed in a corner kick from Jack Longo. The Bombers outshot the Devils 9-4 in the first half and led 2-0 at halftime.

Ithaca added four more goals in the second half. Jack Carney scored his second of the game and third of the season, assisted by Cameron Wooten, just five minutes into the half. Wooten then scored with a powerful strike from the top of the box, assisted by Emmett Enriguez.

Leading 4-0, Ikey Borden took over, scoring at the 77:25 mark with an assist from Wooten. Borden added another goal in the 84th minute, finishing a cross from Riley Donelan to cap off the 6-0 victory.

Ithaca outshot Fredonia 21-4 and dominated possession. Brayden Milbrandt made his third straight start in goal and recorded one save.

The Bombers will face No. 2 Cortland in a highly anticipated matchup on Wednesday, September 18, at Carp Wood Field, with kickoff set for 4 p.m.
