SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team dropped a tight 5-4 result at Union College on Saturday afternoon at the Sportime Tennis Club. The Bombers dropped to 3-2 on the road and 5-6 overall.
 
In singles action, 
Taylor Crain led the way with an outstanding performance at No. 1 singles defeating Gracie Nicol 6-0, 6-2. Other Bombers wins were captured in extras by both 
Ava Casell-Lapetina and 
Maddie Sutro. At No. 6 singles Sutro dropped the first set to Claire Langille 3-6 but came back 7-5 and 7-6 (8-6). 
Ava Casell-Lapetina bested Gabby Gatto as she fell 4-6 and came back to win the match winning the second set 6-4 followed by 1-0 (10-6).
 
The lone doubles win came in the second slot with 
Kendall Curley and 
Sabrina Cheung easily handling Kennedy Alexis and Luisa Arizpe-Sierra 8-1.
 
The Bombers will have a quick turnaround returning to non-conference action on Monday, April 8 hosting Oneonta at 4 p.m.
