SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Despite dropping a 7-2 result to Skidmore on Saturday, the Ithaca College men's tennis team locked up the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Liberty League postseason tournament. It'll be the first time the Bombers appear in the Liberty League Championships since the 2018-19 season.
The Bombers were able to steal a win at No. 1 doubles with the pair of
Emiliano Pedrero and
Eric Dubilirer going back and forth with Nika Mori and Yuval Goodman before the IC pair eventually prevailed by an 8-6 score.
Nicolas Luis and
Siddharth Vaada fell to Griffin Biernat and Louis Bourn by a 4-8 result.
The other Ithaca victory was secured in No. 1 singles by senior
Nicolas Luis as it took three sets, but he downed Louis Bourn 1-6, 6-0, 6-4. Other competitive matches included
Emiliano Pedrero falling 6-7, 2-6 to Griffin Biernat and
Carlos Hernandez dropping his match at No. 3 singles by scores of 4-6, 4-6 to Yuval Goodman.
Ithaca concludes the regular season with a 7-11 overall record and finished 3-5 within the Liberty League.
