GENEVA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team was back in action on Friday afternoon as they were on the road against No. 29 ranked Hobart as the Statesmen got the best of the Bombers winning 9-0. IC was swept in singles play as they did have back-and-forth matches in doubles but dropped each as with the loss is now 3-8 on the season, while Hobart improved to 7-3 overall.
In the No. 1 doubles slot,
Gijs Fidler and
Emiliano Pedrero fell to Sean Pesin and Nick Fischer by an 8-4 score.
Jacob Wachs and
Eric Dubilirer battled Rahul Vallabhajosula and Winter Fagerberg going back-and-forth but eventually dropped an 8-5 result.
Fidler lost in the No. 2 singles slot to Nick Fischer going down 6-4, 6-4.
Carlos Hernandez was nearly able to make a comeback in his matchup against Hyat Oyer, falling 6-3, 7-5.
Ithaca College will take on another Liberty League foe on Wednesday, April 3 when the Bombers host RIT for a home match at 4 p.m.
