ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team competed at nearby Reis Tennis Center, on the campus of Cornell University on Sunday as the Bombers hosted RPI for a Liberty League matchup. The Engineers were able to get best of IC as they took this match 8-1 with the lone victory coming in doubles action.
The Engineers swept each of the singles matches as
Max Sobel took a tight 8-6 loss to Martson Caden.
Ean Lantzy also fell in the No. 5 slot dropping an 8-2 result.
The lone Bombers win came at No. 3 doubles where
Jacob Wachs and
Eric Dubilirer who combined to win it 8-7 taking it in extras winning that 10-8. Dubilirer improved to 6-0 this spring in doubles play as this was the first time him and Wachs teamed up.
IC suffered a close 8-7 loss in the second doubles slot as
Nicolas Luis and
Siddharth Vaada fell to Joel McCandless and Tsubi Okada as they dropped the extra set 7-5.
The Bombers return to action on Friday, March 26 as they travel to Hobart College for a 4 p.m. start.
