CANTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team was back in action on the road on Saturday afternoon as they were competing in the Newell Field House against St. Lawrence. The Bombers had a few solid performances, but ultimately fell 6-3 to the Saints.
In doubles action the tandem of
Nicolas Luis and
Siddharth Vaada were successful in downing Ben Moolman and Jacob David at No. 2 doubles as they won 8-5. The No. 1 pair of
Gijs Fidler and
Emiliano Pedrero fell 8-5 and
Ean Lantzy/
Jacob Wachs dropped an 8-4 result.
Nicolas Luis got a strong win in the first singles slot as he bested Adam Heilbronner 7-5, 3-6, 7-5. Also picking a win on the day was
Gijs Fidler as he put together a solid 6-2, 6-1 effort over Broderick Pinto.
The Bombers will have a quick turn around as they host Hamilton College at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 as it will be the squads home opener.
