ITHACA, N.Y. – It took just one goal to get the job done on Saturday afternoon as the Ithaca College men's soccer team hosted St. Lawrence on Carp Wood Field for a Liberty League matchup. The Bombers netted the game-winner in the 29
th minute and with the win they improve to 4-2-2 and 2-1 in the Liberty League.
The Bombers dominated possession throughout and after a few dangerous opportunities that were thwarted by the St. Lawrence defensive backline. They finally made the most of their chances as they drove the ball down the right pocket of the field and
Reefe Harrison whipped in a cross that was headed into the back of the net by
Jared Krasnove at the 28:56 mark. The goal was the first of the season for Krasnove as it put IC up 1-0.
Ithaca carried the lead into the halftime break where they held a 8-3 shot advantage. The Bombers stepped it up and were defensively sound in the final 45 minutes of play holding the Saints to no shots and just one corner kick opportunity.

Ian Whitfield tallied his second shutout of the season as he made two saves.

Gustav Bauerle and
Landon Hellwig each managed two shots apiece. Harrison nearly doubled the lead for Ithaca in the 59
th minute but his shot from outside of the box dipped into the waiting arms of the opposing goalkeeper.
Ithaca College will travel to Clinton, N.Y. for its final non-conference match of the season against Hamilton College on Tuesday, October 3. Game time is slated for 4:30 p.m.
