This game marked the third shutout of the season for sophomore goalkeeper Johannes Berghahn, who has been a formidable presence in the net, allowing only one goal in the four games played this season.

The match was characterized by an offensive struggle, with both teams finding it difficult to create scoring opportunities. In the first half, both Ithaca and Brockport managed only one shot on goal each. The trend continued in the second half, with both teams firing two shots on goal, all of which were skillfully saved by the respective goalkeepers.
