Track & Field Trio Earns Final Liberty League Weekly Awards

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Liberty League released its final weekly awards for the 2022-23 academic year on May 30 and three members of the Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams were recipients of those awards following the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships at St. John Fisher University on May 25-27.

On the men's side, Dom Mikula was named Co-Field Performer of the Week, while Logan Bruce was selected as Track Performer and Meghan Matheny was Field Performer for the women.

Mikula claimed the first national title of his career in the pole vault last Friday as he cleared 5.05 meters (16' 6.75"). The performance also set a facility record and was Mikula's seventh All-American performance of his career. Click here for the full recap.

Likewise, Matheny was the women's pole vault national champion with a clearance of 4.10 meters (13' 5.25") to secure her third career national title and sixth All-American honor. The mark also established a new career best for Matheny. Read about her performance here.

Bruce was the national runner-up in the heptathlon with a school record performance of 5220 points. Bruce rounds out her career as a seven-time All-American. She also competed in the 100-meter hurdles and finished 18th overall. Here is how she reached the podium.
