ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's tennis team fell 9–0 to Vassar College on Sunday afternoon at the Wheeler Tennis Courts. The Bombers moved to an 8–7 record on the season with a 3–3 Liberty League record with two matches left to play.
Vassar took all three matches of doubles play, picking up an 8–1 win in the No. 1 spot and an 8–4 win in the No. 2 spot. In the No. 3 spot,
Kayla Shenk and
Sarah Kohberger dropped a tight match, 8–7, to Tatum Blalock and Elyse Duley.
In the No. 1 spot,
Taylor Crain fell to Macey Down 6–3 and 6–1. In the No. 2 spot,
Zoe Davis dropped her sets 6–1 and 6–3 Erin McCusker. In the No. 3 spot,
Sabrina Cheung fell to Sofie Shen 6–3 in both sets.
The Bombers host St. Lawrence on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match at the Wheeler Tennis Courts.
