NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team competed at the AARTFC Championships at the NYC Armory on March 3-4 and finished fifth overall with 39 points. IC led at the conclusion day one with 33 points.
On Friday,
Dom Mikula highlighted the day as he set a new school and meet record and moved up to No. 1 on the Division III list in the pole vault as he cleared 5.13 meters (16' 10").
Justin Showstead was the runner-up in the shot put at 15.99 meters (52' 5.5"), while
Brendan Sheehan took third in the pole vault at 4.88 meters (16').
Shaun Herlihy placed fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.73 meters (15' 6.25") and
Callum Howald was seventh at 4.58 meters (15' 0.25").
Daniel Hutchinson measured out 6.81 meters (22' 4.25") in the long jump to secure sixth place.
Jalen Leonard-Osbourne was the top overall qualifier in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.78 seconds.
On Saturday,
Andy Frank placed sixth in the 200-meter dash at 22.09 seconds and
Alex Whatley took sixth in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:56.30.
