ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College football head coach
Michael Toerper has announced that
Drew Miller '21 will return to South Hill to serve as the offensive line coach for the upcoming 2023 season. Miller's official start date is March 6.
Miller comes back to his alma mater after one season as a graduate assistant coach at St. Lawrence University, where he worked with the running banks and tight ends.
"We are all incredibly excited to have Drew back on the South Hill," said Toerper. "His positive attitude, work ethic, and dedication to his players is going to benefit our program exponentially. As someone who has known him since he was in high school, it has been a joy to watch him grow and develop as a young coach – and now I'm fired up for him to lead our O-Line room."
Miller will take over the reins of a unit that allowed just six sacks over 13 games in 2022 and led the way to IC averaging over 37 points and nearly 200 yards rushing per game.
While at St. Lawrence, the Saints went 4-6 this fall. SLU averaged over 116 yards rushing per game, while tight end Joseph Ott, an honorable mention all-Liberty League selection, caught 18 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in eight games.
As a member of the Ithaca College football program, Miller was a two-time Liberty League All-Academic performer and played in six games.
He graduated from Ithaca in December 2021 with a degree in business administration.
