ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming & diving team saw several student-athletes hit NCAA-B cut times that helped them close the gap on RIT who eventually was crowned champions of the Liberty League for the second-straight year. The Bombers finished second scoring a team total of 1,538.5 team points as RIT won the LL Championship totaling 1,782.5.

Matthew Stevens began the Bombers night with a second-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle with an NCAA B-cut time of 16:16.62, qualifying by three-tenths of a second.
Hunter Daur and
Holden Shatouhy also competed in the event with Daur taking sixth in a time of 16:37.41 and Shatouhy taking eighth in a time of 16:43.04.
James Collishaw picked up the first win of the night for the Bombers with his win in the 100-yard freestyle in 44.60 seconds. Collishaw earns the championship and association record as well as a B-cut qualification. Close behind was
Ben Young who tied for a second-place finish with RIT's Jake Sapp with a time of 45.70 and
Matthew Mitros capped off the event with a fourth-place finish in a time of 46.05, completing a huge event for the Bombers.
Matthew Johnston added another second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.10. He had an outstanding meet as
Ryan Pillion grabbed seventh place with his time of 1:56.13.
Matthew Janssen added a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:06.64.
In diving action, first year
Connor Gleasman had an exceptional finals session as he ended up finishing third with a score of 439.80.
Zack Kalinowski earned the Bombers 24 team points with his sixth-place finish and finals score of 392.10.
In the final event of the night, the Bombers 400-yard freestyle relay team of
Santiago Ludwig, Johnston, Mitros and
Max Braithwaite took first place with a time of 2:59.87.
Next up, the divers will compete in the NCAA Diving Regionals beginning Friday, Feb. 24-25.
