Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - The No. 23 ranked Ithaca College volleyball team continued to roll on Friday night with a 3-0 sweep over Bard. The Bombers were saw impressive performances across the board as they improved to 18-4 overall and 6-0 within the Liberty League as well as 7-0 on the road.

Ithaca jumped out to a 6-1 lead scoring the first point of the set on a big time from
Ella Graper that was followed by efforts from
Faith Sabatier,
Jamie Koopman,
Ellie Benedict and
Karina Garcia. The Bombers would stretch their advantage to 11-5 with another successful swing from
Ella Graper and a
Maddie Cox service ace. The Raptors went on a mini spurt to cut the deficit to 14-8, but IC responded with a 2-0 run to force a Bard timeout. Coming out of the break, the Bombers continued to push with a push over from
Maddie Cox, a kill from
Alexandra Montgomery and an ace from
Bridget Altland made it 21-9. IC closed out the set going up 1-0 winning it 25-13 after another kill from Montgomery.
The Bombers scored the first point of the second set on a Raptors attacking error, as they opened a scoring run with a
Maddie Cox kill and ace and led 9-6. A 4-1 run in favor of the Bombers and out of the break they lead 14-7 with a service ace from
Ellie Benedict. They closed on a 4-0 run to take the set with a pair of kills from
Alexandra Montgomery and a
Faith Sabatier effort that closed it out at 25-12.
Faith Sabatier opened the third set with a kill as her and her teammates opened a 6-2 lead with a
Peyton Miller ace. The middle of the set saw back-to-back kills from
Naomi Clauhs with a third effort to cap it off making it 10-5 as
Wesley Slavin assisted. The Bombers held their opponents to just five more points throughout the set as they won it with a
Jamie Koopman kill and an opponent attacking error.
Koopman finished with nine points, which was a match high with three blocks and six kills on nine attacks.
