RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field program placed second out of four schools in a home quad inside Glazer Arena with Cortland, Oneonta and TCNJ. Ithaca earned 54 points, while TCNJ won with 68 points.
Logan Bruce opened the competition with a time of 8.78 seconds in the second heat of 60-meter hurdle prelims, which was the top time by nearly three-tenths of a second, and set a new school record and moved her into No. 6 in Division III. Bruce also qualified for the 60-meter dash final after a winning heat time of 7.96 seconds. She would go on to win the 60 hurdles final in 8.91 and the 60 dash in 7.94.
The Bombers swept the pole vault as
Sara Altonen finished first at 3.70 meters (12' 1.5") for the sixth-best mark in Division III,
Meghan Matheny took second with a mark of 3.65 meters (11' 11.75") to secure the No. 9 spot in DIII, Kennedy Heichel was third at 3.35 meters (10' 11.75"),
Jamie Rossig came in fourth at 3.20 meters (10' 6) and
Martha Kemp-Neilson placed fifth at 3.05 meters (10').
Bree Boyle and
Erin Eastwood were sixth and seventh at 3.05 meters as well.
IC claimed the top two spots in the 800-meter run as
Jessica Goode led the way in 2:22.85 and
Joy Petersen followed with a time of 2:24.46.
Ithaca dominated the long jump with five of the top six spots. Bruce won the event at 5.58 meters (18' 3.75"), while
Sara Brown took second at 5.35 meters (17' 6.75").
Moriah Byrd placed fourth at 5.11 meters (16' 9.25"),
Ayenaliz Velasquez was fifth at 4.95 meters (16' 3") and
Jordyn Dolan placed sixth with a mark of 4.85 meters (15' 11").
The 'A' 4x400-meter relay of Bruce,
Paloma De Monte,
Devan Adegbile and
Luca Pecora ran a time of 4:10.70 to finish in second place.
Lily Seyfert won the triple jump with a mark of 10.56 meters (34' 7.75") and measured out 11.97 meters (39' 3.25") in the shot put to place second, while Byrd was fifth at 11.30 meters (37' 1").

Rachel Larson and Pecora also qualified for the 60 hurdles final with times of 9.79, 10.07 and 10.33. LaBonte finished fifth in the final at 9.75 seconds, while Pecora took seventh in 10.16 and Larson was eighth at 10.20.
Charly Slusser cleared 1.58 meters (5' 2.25") in the high jump to place third, while Bryd was eighth at 1.38 meters (4' 6.25"). In the 3000-meter run,
Kyla Eisman took fourth in a time of 11:26.60 and
Logan Brasacchio followed in fifth at 11:29.10.
The Bombers went 5-to-8 in the 400-meter dash as De Monte clocked 1:02.12, while
Natalie MacArthur crossed in 1:03.24, Adegbile finished in 1:04.47 and
Rachel Rose posted 1:04.53.
Soncerae Hamiter measured out 13.31 meters (43' 8") in the weight throw to come in fifth overall.
Jillian Shea was a sixth place runner in the mile as she crossed the line in 5:43.36.
Brown secured the eighth spot in the 60 dash with her prelim time of 8.25 seconds. Brown would run an 8.34 in the final to place eighth overall.
The Bombers head to the Nazareth College Challenge next Saturday, January 28.
