NEW YORK CITY – The Ithaca College women's track & field team competed in the TCNJ Invitational at the NYC Armory on Saturday in what was the first meet of 2023.

Paloma De Monte won the mile in 5:05.74 and also won the 800-meter run in 2:22.45.

Logan Bruce finished first in 60-meter hurdle prelims in 8.93 seconds and went on to be the runner-up in the final at 8.93. Bruce also entered the high jump and cleared 1.60 meters (5' 3") to place third.

Cecelia LaBonte secured second in 60-meter dash unseeded at 8.39, while Jordyn Dolan was fourth in 60 dash unseeded in 8.59 seconds.

Meghan Matheny was a third place finisher in the pole vault at 3.65 meters (11' 11.75"). Sara Altonen placed fourth in the pole vault at 3.65 meters (11' 11.75") and Martha Kemp-Neilson cleared 3.50 meters (11' 5.75") to take fifth.

Jessica Goode took seventh in the mile at 5:19.07. Charly Slusser was seventh in the high jump at 1.50 meters (4' 11"). Sara Brown claimed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.41 meters (17' 9").

The 4x400-meter relay team placed ninth with a time of 4.16.26.

Jillian Shea was 10th in the 800 at 2:26.54.

The Bombers are home next Saturday, January 21 for a quad meet starting at 12:30 p.m.
