ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca College women's tennis team swept SUNY Geneseo 9-0 on the Wheeler Tennis Courts Tuesday afternoon. With the victory, the Bombers improved to 9-4 on the season. 
First year Taylor Crain along with juniors Zoe Davis and Sarah Sposito took home wins in both doubles and singles in IC's victory over the visiting Knights. 
Sposito and junior Caroline Herz initiated the doubles wins for the Bombers in the third spot, defeating their opponents 8-1 for the pair's first win together this season. 
Crain and doubles partner junior Rebecca Andrews dominated their opponents 8-0 at first doubles while Davis and her partner, first-year Eliana Chelnick, matched their teammates' score in the second doubles slot 8-0 against Geneseo's Juliana Schultz and Grace Klomp. 
Davis notched the most dominant singles win of the afternoon next, shutting out the Knight's Rory Tobin 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets. 
Sposito secured the team win for Ithaca in the fourth slot, earning her first singles win of the season over Klomp 6-1, 6-2.
At first singles, Crain easily dispatched her opponent Natalia Krol in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. Then Andrews added another win to the tally in the second singles slot, taking down Schultz 6-1, 6-0. 
Senior Rel Klein and junior Sarah Kohberger also grabbed their first singles victories of the season this afternoon in the fifth and sixth singles spots respectively to round out the match for Ithaca. Klein defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-4 while Kohberger came out on top 6-1, 6-2. 
Up next, the Bombers will travel to Geneva, N.Y. to play William Smith College next Friday, April 15. Start time is slated for 2 p.m.
