RESULTS
CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams sent a small group of athletes to SUNY Cortland on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the CNY Challenge. Ithaca will head to Philadelphia later this week for the Penn Relays, as well as up to Rochester for a meet on Saturday.
No. 18 men's results
Aaron Davis finished second overall with a season best time of 11.31 seconds in the 100-meter dash. Davis also came in sixth in the long jump at 6.14 meters.
Brendan Sheehan finished sixth in the pole vault with a personal best mark at 4.65 meters, which ties for 26th on the NCAA list.
Dom Mikula also cleared 4.65 meters to finish in fourth, while
Callum Howald had a personal best showing of 4.50 meters to come in seventh.
Shaun Herlihy was eighth at 4.20 meters.
Connor Wallenbeck was the runner-up in the high jump at 1.60 meters and was eighth in the long jump at 5.55 meters.
Matthew Morgan took seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:00.80. Zachary Belles was sixth in the shot put at 10.89 meters, seventh in the discus at 34.20 meters and seventh in the hammer at 36.60 meters.
Women's results
Ariyahna Bernard was the runner-up in the javelin at 26.65 meters, third in the shot put at 10.86 meters and fourth in the discus at 34.05 meters. Bernard also claimed fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.82 meters.
Abbey Stowell and
Gwen Gisler went 3-4 in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.49 and 19.08.
The Bombers went 3-to-7 in the pole vault as
Martha Kemp-Neilson led the way at 3.66 meters and
Meghan Matheny also cleared 3.66 meters to place fourth.
Sara Altonen was fifth at 3.51 meters and
Jamie Rossig came in sixth at 3.36 meters.
Kennedey Heichel rounded out the event in seventh at 3.06 meters.
Madison Martinez posted a time of 1:12.85 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish in fourth place.
Charly Slusser was a fifth place finisher in the high jump with a mark of 1.50 meters, while Stowell was sixth at 1.45 meters and
Gabrielle Schlessinger took seventh at 1.40 meters.
Emily McGrath finished sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.15. Slusser was also a seventh place finisher in the long jump at 4.34 meters, while
Ashanti Stanley was the runner-up in the triple jump at 9.90 meters.
Devan Adegbile took eighth in the 400-meter dash in 1:10.14
