ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The nationally ranked No. 19 Ithaca College men's track & field team heads into the final day of competion at the AARTFC Championships in third place at Nazareth College after finishing Friday with 26 points.
Danny Jagoe highlighted the first day of competition for IC as he topped the field in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:49.45.
Dom Mikula set a new school record, broke a meet record and finished first in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.02 meters (16' 5.5").
Brendan Sheehan finished seventh in the pole vault at 4.56 meters (14' 11.5").
IC's 4x400-meter relay team of
Nathaniel Oczkowski,
Zachary Wachs,
Conor Ryan and
Andy Frank finished fifth in 3:23.72.
Jalen Leonard-Osbourne posted a first place time in the 60-meter dash prelim at 6.78 seconds to move onto tomorrow's final.
Oczkowski finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdle prelims to qualify for tomorrow's final with a time of 8.50 seconds.
