Sinon Reaches 1K, Sikoryak Has Career Night as Men’s Basketball Drops RIT, 106-95

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's basketball team improved to 15-8 on the season and 11-5 in the Liberty League after coming away with a high-scoring, 106-95, victory at RIT on Tuesday evening in Clarkson Gymnasium. Skylar Sinon became the 29th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points in the game, as he finished the night with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting to give him 1,004 points.

George Sikoryak III posted a career night for the Bombers as he went 9-for-11 from the field for a career-high 22 points, while five other players for IC eclipsed double figures in the win.

The Bombers led for nearly the entire game on Tuesday (all but 45 seconds) and shot 55.4-percent for the field (41-for-74). RIT hit 62.1% of its shots (36-of-58), but 26 turnovers for the Tigers proved to be the difference maker as IC scored 32 points off those takeaways.

Ithaca scored 53 points in each half to reach the 100-point mark for the third time this season and the bench accounted for 40 points on the night.

Sikoryak went 5-for-5 from the field, including a 3-pointer to notch 11 points over 14 minutes of action in the first half, and followed up with 11 more in the second half.

Sinon, who entered the game just eight points sky of 1,000, matched the milestone with 6:29 left in regulation. He also added five assists and five steals in the win.

Liam Spellman came up one steal shy from matching a single game record as he finished the night with seven swipes, to go along with 13 points on 5-of-11 from the floor and four rebounds.

Luka Radovich poured in 17 points on 6-of-12, while Jack Stern added 12 points on 5-for-5 in just 16 minutes of action. Triston Wennersten and Zach Warech each added 10 points for the Bombers on Tuesday. Logan Wendell just missed double figures with eight points.

The Bombers conclude their regular season this weekend with home matchups against Bard on Friday and Vassar on Saturday.
