ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca College men's track & field team competed in their first meet of the 2022-23 indoor season on Saturday, as the Bombers made their way over to East Hill to participate in the Greg Page Relays at Cornell University.
IC's 4x400-meter relay of
Nathaniel Oczkowski,
Alex Whatley,
Andy Frank and
Conor Ryan finished in fourth place with a time of 3:30.81, which was the fastest time of any Division III team competing in the race.
Justin Showstead took third in the shot put with a heave of 14.78 meters, while
Dom Mikula was a fourth place finisher in the pole vault with a top clearance of 4.92 meters.
Whatley placed fifth, and third among attached runners, in the mile at 4:38.55.
Brendan Sheehan took ninth in the pole vault at 4.47 meters and 10th in the shot put at 12.95 meters, while
Callum Howald also cleared 4.47 meters in the pole vault.
Oczkowski also competed in the 60-meter hurdles and finished 11th with a time of 8.39 seconds. Ryan was an 11th place runner in the 500-meter dash in a time of 1:09.14. Frank finished 12th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.15 seconds.
The Bombers are off until early January when they return to campus for the annual alumni event on the 7th.
