Ithaca, N.Y.– The Ithaca College women's volleyball team swept Union College in straight sets on Saturday, October 8 in Ben Light Gymnasium
The Bombers dominated the first set, winning 25–13. The Bombers opened the set with seven straight points, but Union brought the set to within one point at 8–7. A kill from
Leila Chipepo sparked a five-point run, and the Bombers broke away from there.
Both teams went back-and-forth to start the second set. Up 16–10 in the set, the Bombers went on a six-point run to take a 22–10 lead. The Bombers closed out the set with kills from
Alexandra Montgomery,
Jamie Koopman and
Faith Sabatier.
Once again, the Bombers got hot again early in the third set, taking a big 16–3 lead. They dominated the rest of the set, winning 25–8.
Jennifer Pitts and
Alexandra Montgomery led all players with 10 kills each and
Peyton Miller had 30 assists. Defensively,
Elli Gaskill led the Bombers with 14 digs and
Jamie Koopman totaled four blocks.

The Bombers made it 11 consecutive wins in a row and now have a 14-3 record on the season. Ithaca will host nearby SUNY Cortland on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Ben Light Gymnasium.
